Administrative Staff
SYNAGOGUE ADMINISTRATOR: Lora Wagner has been on staff at CSI since 1980. She is responsible for editing our award-winning monthly bulletin, processes all membership applications, coordinates High Holiday honors, ushering and bimah assignments, helps negotiate Special Arrangements, prepares our spoken announcements and provides support to our Board of Trustees and our member committees. FINANCIAL COORDINATOR & OPERATIONS MANAGER: Joanne Wagner joined the CSI staff in 1993. In addition to handling all of our billing and facility use, Joanne processes our donations and coordinates High Holiday reserved seating as well as providing support to our Board of Trustees and member committees. RABBI'S ASSISTANT & Webmaster: Ellen Johnson has been Assistant to Rabbi Kane since 1995. She handles all B'nai Mitzvah related issues including scheduling and service requirements as well as congregational e-mails, the CSI website, our shabbat service handout, The Rabbi's Circle at CSI, PJ Library, CSI's Memorial booklet and the Adult Learning brochure. SCHOOL SECRETARY: Sandra “Sandy” Cafarchio has been the secretary in our Religious School and Nursery School since 2005. Before coming to C.S.I, Sandy worked for 27 years as a Certified Medical Assistant and Office Manager in two large Orthopedic practices in Westchester. She loves taking care of our children’s “cuts and scrapes” as well as preparing their daily snacks. Her favorite hobbies are cooking and shopping. Sandy has helped prepare many of the meals that are served at our meetings and family programs. When not at C.S.I., she loves spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters, Taylor, Madison and Katelyn. E-mail Sandy.
SCHOOL SECRETARY: Doreen Gioio has been the secretary in the Nursery and Religious School since 2008. Doreen worked with the Ossining School District for 12 years as a Senior Office Assistant before coming to CSI. Besides working for C.S.I., she also manages her husband Carl’s Maintenance and Management company, and enjoys spending time with her 3 children, Cassandra, Philip and Nicole. E-mail Doreen.
