The Education Committee Mission Statement
Objectives of the Education Committee:
- All areas of responsibility are under the overall supervision of the Board of Trustees.
- Support, guidance, evaluation and supervision to the Educational Director.
- Supervise the Nursery School, Nursery School Camp program, Religious School, Hebrew High School, Youth programs, Junior Congregation, Torah for Tots and all non Bar/Bat Mitzvah children's programs.
- Create, enforce and review policies that ensure the safety, well-being and education relating to all programs under the auspices of the Education Committee.
- Create a forum where parents and/or teachers may come after speaking to the Educational Director to address individual problems.
- Discuss and intervene, where appropriate, individual problems regarding children.
- Review curriculums of said programs periodically.
- Guide the PTA's with specific needs of the schools.
- Assist in the recruitment of additional members of the Education Committee.
- All members are expected to be a positive, supportive voice in our community. Each member's suggestions and input is needed to make all of our children's programs successful.

- Items to be put on the agenda for a meeting must be discussed with the chairperson prior to the meeting.
Procedures for committee members to address complaints:
- Be positive.
- Ask if the individual has spoken to the Educational Director and encourage them to do so.
- Ask if the individual has spoken to the Education chairperson.
Meeting Schedule - meets the first Wednesday evening of the month at 7:30 pm, except during the summer. Please check the CSI Calendar on the homepage of this website for meeting dates.
