Guidance and Outreach : “The Social Worker Is In”

Shari Baum, MSW, is the social worker our synagogue was assigned through a grant from the Westchester Jewish Community Services. We are so fortunate to have her to lead and facilitate programs geared towards different age groups within our synagogue community. For example, Shari leads a lively and well-attended Senior Current Events groups two Thursday mornings a month, all year round. Shari is also available to Nursery and Religious School parents once or twice a month, if they wish to speak to her privately about any issue. She leads a group on parenting and various other relevant subjects that are relevant to today’s parents. Shari is a very valuable resource for CSI. She has pointed the way and made referrals, helping our population to navigate the resources available both in the Jewish and in the general community.
