All B'nai Mitzvah students at CSI are required to complete a BM Project.  We ask that each child perform 20 - 25 hours of active participation in a community service project that has been APPROVED by Rabbi Kane or his assistant, Ellen Johnson.      

Generally, our students begin their programs in the six months leading up to their simcha, but the timing is flexible.  Completion of a project is NOT required by the date of the BM.

Many of our students find that a BM project leads to a greater interest in community service and they continue well past the "required"  hours.
