Join us for an informational and interactive event explaining how New York's new surrogacy law, the Child-Parent Security Act, can help you grow your family. Professionals will guide you through initial considerations to help you begin to navigate the process, from finding the fertility clinic that's right for you, to matching with a surrogate, establishing escrow accounts, and preparing estate planning documents in compliance with the statute.
 
Moderator: Amy Klein, ReConceiving Infertility Ambassador for Hadassah and author of "The Trying Game: Get Through Fertility Treatment and Get Pregnant Without Losing Your Mind."
 
Presenters:
  • Alexis Cirel, Esq. & Eric Wrubel, Esq., co-founders and leaders of the Fertility Law Group at Warshaw Burstein, LLP and partners in the firm's Matrimonial and Family Law group, will provide a robust conversation on the key points of the new law.
  • Carol M. Bass, Esq., Trusts and Estates partner at Moses & Singer, LLP, will outline what you need to know in preparing your will, completing guardianship papers, and in ensuring that your future children will inherit from you.
  • Joseph Williams, Esq., Director of Surrogate Services at New York Surrogacy Center (the first New York-based surrogate matching program in the state), will explain the value that an agency plays in the surrogacy process.
  • Adam Winder, President of Seed Trust (an independent escrow fund manager for third-party reproductive journeys that utilize surrogacy and egg donation), will discuss how escrow agents help families grow and reduce the financial stress of the escrow process.
