These absolutely stunning wooden bowls were handmade by a wonderful craftsman right here in Chappaqua. Don Osmer (facebook.com/donosmerwoodworking/) used wood from the CSI Community Organic Farm — a Red Maple tree — that was removed near Field 2. The tree has striking markings thanks to the Ambrosia beetle which adds to the uniqueness of the bowls.
Each bowl is slightly different in coloration, size, and price, ranging from $30 up to $200 — this is only a small sample of what is available. Don priced the bowls individually and CSI earns a piece of each sale. The bowls are show-stoppers and this is a beautiful and different way to own a piece of the farm!
Purchase bowls at our Sunday market in the lobby of CSI (most Sundays from 10 am – 1 pm), or see Ellen in the synagogue office.
