In addition to our bright and welcoming indoor spaces, we are incredibly fortunate to have access to abundant outdoor areas that enrich our students' daily experiences.
Children visit the large outdoor playground daily, enjoying the freedom to move, climb, and explore through active play.
Beyond the playground, our outdoor dramatic play space offers endless opportunities for creativity and collaboration. Outfitted with a mud kitchen, child-sized tables and benches, and natural wooden building materials, this area invites children to engage in sensory-rich, imaginative experiences in a beautiful, nature-inspired setting.
Our connection to nature continues at the CSI Organic Farm, where children help plant and care for garden beds, observe the changing seasons, and explore winding nature trails. These visits foster curiosity, responsibility, and a sense of wonder. We also take advantage of the farm’s scenic gathering and picnic spaces, which provide peaceful, shaded spots for outdoor learning, snack times, and special celebrations.
A beloved highlight of our program is the opportunity to regularly visit the CSI chickens. These cheerful encounters offer hands-on experiences that help children build empathy, responsibility, and a deeper understanding of the natural world.
At CSI Nursery School, the outdoors is truly an extension of our classrooms—full of opportunities to learn, grow, and discover joy in the world around us.
