Religious Life: The cornerstone of CSI

At CSI, religious life is vibrant, inclusive, and rooted in community. We welcome individuals and families from a wide range of Jewish backgrounds and practices, and we honor the many paths through which people connect to Judaism. Whether you are traditionally observant, spiritually seeking, or somewhere in between, you’ll find a warm and welcoming space here.

Prayer and Participation

Our services are participatory and engaging. Members of our community don’t just attend—they lead. Congregants regularly take part in the liturgy, chant Torah and Haftarah, and, at times, offer the weekly D’var Torah, sharing personal insights into the parasha. This shared leadership fosters a deep sense of ownership, connection, and meaning in our communal prayer.

We are blessed to gather in a beautiful sanctuary built in the round, a space designed to reflect the inclusiveness and intimacy of our community. With large windows that overlook lush greenery and doors that open to the outdoors, our sanctuary allows us to experience the beauty of God’s creation as part of our prayer—reminding us that sacred moments are deeply connected to the natural world around us.

Spiritual Engagement for All Ages

Religious life at CSI includes opportunities for every age and stage, creating a multigenerational atmosphere of learning and celebration. Some of our offerings include:

  • Mini Minyan – A joyful, age-appropriate service for young children and their families
  • Tot Shabbat – A spirited, musical introduction to Shabbat for our youngest members
  • Junior Congregation – A lively Shabbat service that empowers our school-aged children to lead and learn
  • Shabbat Rocks – A musical Friday night service that blends tradition with energy and ruach
  • Lunch and Learn – A chance to explore Jewish texts and ideas together in a relaxed setting

A Community of Meaning

Whether you’re drawn by song, Torah, tradition, or discussion, CSI’s religious life invites you to find your place. We celebrate the richness that comes from our differences and believe that every voice adds to the strength and spirit of our kehillah (community).
